Cedric Dewayne Robertson Wanted After Woman Nakita Davidson Found Dead Inside A Vehicle

A woman who was kidnapped in Birmingham was found dead Friday afternoon.

Multiple Birmingham police officers responded to the Powderly neighborhood in Birmingham on April 12. Police tape could be seen stretched near 18th Place Southwest near Ishkooda Lane.

The Birmingham Police Department said Nakita Davidson was found dead inside a vehicle at the location.

It was gathered that the family of Davidson arrived at the scene shortly after police presence began to pick up, before the identity of the person was confirmed.

Police have been searching for Davidson, a mother of four children, since her disappearance early Thursday morning.

Police say suspect 37-year-old Cedric Dewayne Robertson is wanted in connection to this incident on an outstanding kidnapping warrant and is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Robertson is believed to be in the Powderly neighborhood or the Jones Valley community.

Police said Robertson is suspected of placing Davidson inside of her vehicle and driving away after a crash Thursday. Police said evidence at the scene of the crash indicated Davidson had possibly been shot.
