At least five young men lost their lives due to electrocution on Monday, August 21, at the Obiri-Ikwerre area of Rumuosi Community in Rivers State.
It was gathered from sources that the victims were attempting to mount a billboard using a metal frame when the structure inadvertently came into contact with a high-tension cable.
A source said the act resulted to electric shock that claimed the lives of five victims, while four others were rushed to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) for urgent medical attention.
The source further said doctors at the hospital are currently trying to save the lives of the survivors.
