Footballer, Septain Raharja, Struck By Lightning And KIlled In The Middle Of A Match (Video)

A player in an Indonesian football competition was instantly struck by a lightning bolt, which resulted in his horrifically sudden death.

The terrifying event was caught on camera and showed the horrifying moment the 35-year-old victim slumped in Bandung, West Java’s Siliwangi Stadium on Saturday afternoon, February 10.

Septain Raharja, the victim, was actively taking part in a friendly football match between FBI Subang and 2 FLO FC Bandung when the tragedy struck.

Witnesses recounts the bizarre scene as lightning struck Raharja abruptly at 4:20 p.m. local time, crackling through the sky.

He was taken to a nearby hospital while still alive. However, he passed away from severe burns.

Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) conducted an examination of the hit and found that the lightning struck a cloud that was only 300 meters above the stadium.
