Lagos State Police Rescues Nine Children from Forced Cult Initiation in Mushin Area

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command has successfully rescued nine children who were being forcibly initiated into a cult in the Mushin area of the state, trendygists learnt.

The incident was revealed in a statement by the command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.

The police image maker shared the dramatic rescue on his social media platform, on Thursday, August 10.

The spokesperson said in the statement that the victims, aged between nine and fourteen, were found with disturbing incisions on their lower lips, signaling their coerced involvement in the dangerous initiation ritual.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin emphasized the importance of strengthening the family unit in the face of such concerning incidents.

“We need to strengthen the family unit! Nine children, the youngest being only 9 years old, and the oldest, 14, were rescued during and after a forced initiation into cultism in the Mushin area of Lagos State,” Hundeyin’s post read. “The investigation into this distressing case is currently ongoing.”
