Man And A Woman, Nunu Adams Found Lifeless In Pittsford Home

Two adults were found dead inside a Pittsford home Tuesday night after what police described as a potential domestic violence incident.

Chief Deputy Michael Fowler of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said the bodies of a man and a woman were found inside a home on Tobey Road after a family member called 911, concerned because a relative was not answering the phone.

Fowler said that deputies are investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide. The cause of deaths was not released, but the initial call was to investigate a shooting. Fowler said the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.

Deputies said that the fatal incident was contained within the household and that the deceased pair were in an intimate relationship.

“We know that there were some struggles going on,” he said during a news briefing. “We’re going to keep all options open and see where the investigation takes us.

“Children were in the home at the time of the fatal incident, but the children were not injured and are in the care of other relatives, he said. A family member fell in the yard at the scene and injured a knee, he said.

Fowler said that deputies have been to the Tobey Road home previously, but did not elaborate.

“We have an enormous number of domestic violence cases in Monroe County, and unfortunately this is what we think might be the worst case scenario,” Fowler said.

It was not immediately clear when the couple died, he said, or how long their bodies were in the home before emergency responders were called to the scene.
