Missing Mother Savannah Kriger And Her Son Found Dead In Suspected Murder-suicide

Authorities have located two bodies in a ditch at Tom Slick Park that are believed to be a 3-year-old and mother who were the subject of an AMBER Alert.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office was called out to Dovers Den for a welfare check but were not able to get into the home and noticed that Savannah Kriger’s vehicle was not at the home. With the help of a family member, authorities were able to gain access to the home and reportedly found concerning evidence in the home that led them to believe the child and mother were in danger.

Officials say that Kriger left work early Monday to pick up 3-year-old Kaiden Kriger at his daycare and take him to a doctor’s appointment. Her white 2023 Lincoln Aviator was later found abandoned at Tom Slick Park off State Highway 151 East.

Overnight, investigators were not able to locate the mother or child. But on Tuesday morning, park police continued the search and found two bodies located near a ditch and believe it could be the mother and child but did not confirm.

Authorities said it appears that gun shots could’ve been fired as a gun was recovered from the scene.

This case is now being investigated as a murder/suicide and there are no outstanding suspects at this time.

Officials added that they believe there had been an ongoing custody battle for the child between the mother and father and a hearing for the custody of the child was scheduled for Tuesday, March 19.

The father is on the scene and reportedly cooperating with authorities.
