Police Crack Team Neutralizes Two Bandits In Kuriga (Photos)

Two bandits were eliminated on Friday by the mobile police squad that Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Egbetokun recently dispatched to Kuriga in Chikun LGA.

During the fierce gunfight, the courageous police officers also took weapons and ammo from the armed bandits.

It was disclosed in the operational report sent to the Kaduna State Government that the operatives attended to distress calls of a bandit attack on farmers on the fringes of Kuriga village.

Upon their arrival, the bandits were involved in a heavy gunfight with the security personnel, in which two of the criminals were eliminated. The troops retrieved 17 rounds of ammo and two AK-47 weapons on the scene of the incident.

The Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, CP Ali Audu Dabigi, together with his officers and men, were complimented by Senator Uba Sani, the state’s governor, for their prompt response and successful intervention that resulted in the neutralization of two bandits, after receiving the complaint.

The governor asked the local police and other security forces to continue pursuing the criminal elements and make sure they are completely removed from the region.
