A renowned journalist Rita Tinina was discovered dead in her Kileleshwa home in Nairobi on Sunday, March 17.
According to preliminary reports, she was expected to be on duty at her place of employment, NTV, but she neglected to report, which prompted management to visit the residence where the lifeless corpse was discovered.
Since the cause of her death is still unknown, her family was there when police arrived to pick up the body and take it to the morgue for autopsy.
NTV verified the tragic news, stating that Tinina’s family had asked for quiet during their time of loss for the seasoned reporter.
“Celebrated NTV journalist Rita Tinina dies at her Nairobi home; family requests privacy during difficult moment,” NTV said.
