Robert Lee Young Arrested For K!lling Girlfriend Quanisha Davis

Robert Lee Young, 55, of Dadeville, is in jail for the alleged murder of a missing Alexander City woman.

The remains of Quanisha Davis, 30, of Alexander City, were located in a wooded area off Herren Street in Dadeville at approximately 7:45 a.m. Thursday, according to law enforcement officials. Davis had been missing since May 17.

Young, who was dating Davis at the time of her death, according to Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett, was arrested at 11 a.m. at his home Thursday on Aster Street in Dadeville. He is being held in Tallapoosa County Jail pending a bond hearing.

During a Thursday afternoon press conference, the law enforcement agencies first offered condolences to Davis’ family and friends. Sheriff Jimmy Abbett of Tallapoosa County announced Robert Lee Young, 55, of 243 Aster Street, Dadeville, was arrested and charged with murder.

Young, who was in a dating relationship with Davis, remains in the Tallapoosa County Jail pending a bond hearing scheduled for later this week.

Investigators say at this time they cannot comment on the evidence that led to Young’s arrest.
