Woman Roneisha Truvillion k!lled In Baton Rouge While Attempting To Confront Car Burglars

A 29-year-old woman is dead after she allegedly tried to confront vehicle burglars in Baton Rouge on Tuesday night.

The Baton Rouge Police Department identified the victim as Roneisha Truvillion.

Police said Truvillion was shot and killed in the 1100 block of Spanish Town Road near North Street around 10:30 p.m.

According to detectives, Truvillion and a family member confronted vehicle burglars who fired shots, striking Truvillion.

The victim was taken to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.

The property management company of Elysian Apartments, which is where the shooting took place, issued a statement on the woman’s death.

“We are deeply saddened by the death of Roneisha Truvillion and our thoughts and sympathies are with her family and friends during this difficult time. “We are fully cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation, and any further inquiries should be directed to the Baton Rouge Police Department.”
