Two-storey Shopping Complex Collapses In Abuja, Many Trapped, 37 Others Rescued (Video)

A two-storey shopping plaza came crashing down in the Garki area of Abuja amidst a heavy downpour around 11:50 pm on Wednesday, August 23.

Trendygists has learned that the ill-fated building, situated near Lagos Street, couldn’t withstand the forces of nature, leading to its tragic collapse.

The tragic incident was confirmed in a social media post by the Former aide to the immediate past minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ikharo Attah.

He said in the social media post that a total of 37 individuals had been rescued from the clutches of the rubble.

He stated that tragically, two individuals were severely injured and required immediate medical attention, adding that two survivors, alongside those who were successfully rescued, were rushed to hospitals.
